6 Month Milestones – Give The Right Start
The new
born baby is very delicate and you need to take extra care to handle.
All the activities concerning the baby such as feeding, bathing,
changing diaper, holding and laying her to bed etc. call for utmost
care. For instance, you may be slicing chilies in the kitchen and you
come running to the baby at her cry and touch her in order to sooth her.
The baby starts crying and you never realize that the baby’s soft skin
is feeling the burning pain as your hands were still under the effect of
chilly. Such things happen despite being cautious. But as parents, you
should always think before you indulge in anything with your little
loved one.
Baby’s communication
The most common way the little baby communicates is crying. When she is hungry, she would cry. If she is feeling some sort of discomfort, she would do the same. It is really very difficult to understand. The best way to understand the little one, therefore, is to create such boding with her that you understand her signals.
Focus of your baby
In the first month your baby cannot focus beyond a certain distance. Yes, she can focus about 8 to 12 inches’ distance. But amazingly, she would start noticing your face, voice and touch etc. She may not understand the words, but you can talk to her. You can sing her or read her. You may mimic her sounds and you will find her feeling relaxed with you. Such things would help you create a bonding with your baby.
Health and nutrition
Something that you should never compromise is the nutritious drink. If she is not breastfed, you need to ensure that she gets sufficiently nutritious diet. If she does not suck or fee well when she is one to four month old, it is advisable to talk to the doctor. By the age of 3 month, if she is not able to support her head properly, you should surely consult the doctor. By the age of 6 Month Milestones, your baby would smile and laugh and engage in conversations in her own way. She can comfortably support herself with tummy and back again and sit unsupported. In case of abnormalities, you should not miss the chance to consult the doctor and give your baby the required right start.
